From a careful analysis it has been seen that the substances dissolved in the solvent can easily penetrate the microporosity of the ski base, remaining deposited once the solvent evaporates, like a wax heated with iron. 
For this reason these products should not be intended as suitable only for training or short distances, but valid race products that can last for a long time under the ski.
